WHAT IS PRP?
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a medical treatment where the patient’s blood is drawn and distilled to its valuable cells then applied through injection into the application area. With this application it is targeted to support the development of the new and healthy cells by applying the plasma into where the damaged cells are.
How is PRP applied?
During PRP treatment, firstly an amount of blood that the specialist sees appropriate is drawn from the patient. The drawn blood then is transferred into the tubes in a sterile manner. Depending on the preference, local cream is applied and waited for some time. The blood inside the tubes then is go through a fifteen-minutes of centrifuge process which causes the blood components to separate into thrombocytes. This gathered thrombocyte is then injected by tiny needles under the skin.

How Long Does Recovery Take Post-PRP?
Usually there is no need to rest for the patient. Since the treatment approximately takes thirty minutes, patients can immediately turn back to their daily lives.
One week after the treatment its full effects can be observed.
How Many Sessions Does PRP Consist of?
The session amount and efficiency are decided by the specialist after an inspection. Usually, it consists of three to five sessions. In addition to that the specialist may find it beneficial to combine PRP with mesotherapy. It is recommended to have the treatment once a year.
